The term "Biochemistry" derives from the Greek word 'Bios,' meaning 'Life,' and 'Chemistry,' which denotes a scientific field focused on the composition and properties of substances. Consequently, it can be interpreted as the 'Chemistry of Life.'

This distinctive therapeutic approach is grounded in the Law of Deficiency. As articulated by Professor Moleschott of Rome, "The structure and vitality of the organs depend upon the presence of the necessary quantities of inorganic constituents." The core principle posits that a deficiency in inorganic salts disrupts cellular function; therefore, when these salts are administered in appropriate quantities, balance can be restored. The Biochemic system of medicine supports the body's inherent healing processes by replenishing deficient salts within specific tissues.
